Artificial Solutions unveils software toolkit to allow developers to build platform independent intelligent, humanlike conversations into their mobile apps.
Artificial Solutions, the natural language interaction (NLI) specialist that enables users to have a meaningful, humanlike interaction with technology, announced today that it will be unveiling Teneo Toolkit at Mobile World Congress (MWC). With Gartner already predicting that voice will be a disruptive technology to watch in 2012, the Teneo Toolkit will allow developers to easily include Artificial Solutions’ patented technology and enable their mobile apps, software programs or devices think, reason and converse in an intelligent, humanlike manner, regardless of platform, device or language.
MWC is no stranger to showcasing disruptive technology from the Nordics with past contenders including Skype, Spotify, Linux and MySQL. According to the World Economic Forum that places Artificial Solutions’ home country Sweden at the top of its ICT rankings alongside three other Nordic countries in the top ten it is because, “they all display a very innovation-friendly environment with a consistent focus on innovation”.
The Teneo Toolkit packages the award-winning Teneo platform into a cloud-based suite of tools designed specifically for the developer community. Included in the toolkit is Teneo Interaction Engine, Artificial Solutions patented NLI engine which is the core of the Teneo platform; Teneo Studio, a graphical interface that is used to build and maintain sophisticated conversation dialogs; and Teneo Insight, which provides in-depth analysis of end user interactions.
“Siri has raised the profile of natural language processing, but the lack of a dedicated toolkit and the platform restrictions has left many developers frustrated that they cannot easily deliver what their clients and end users want - the ability for natural language capabilities to be included easily into a wide range of mobile and online services,” says Dominic Sancto, VP of Mobile Business Innovation, Artificial Solutions. “The Teneo Toolkit provides developers with the ability to quickly implement their own intelligent assistants thanks to Artificial Solutions’ unique technology that removes the reliance on linguistic experts.”
Whilst voice has the potential to redefine mobile apps for it to be a successful method of interaction, it needs an underlying intelligence. Artificial Solutions NLI technology delivers that by interpreting the meaning and context of queries and has the intelligence to learn, reason, understand, and then apply this knowledge to real customer interactions. Last year the company launched Teneo Mobile, a platform independent alternative to Apple’s Siri technology that enables Artificial Solutions blue chip clients to easily port their web based assistants as a mobile app and to embrace an innovative and effective way to communicate with their customers, providing 24/7 service in an automated yet approachable way.
With deep integration into smartphone features and the ability to access content from external applications and other information sources allowing it to be incorporated in the response, Teneo Mobile delivers an intuitive experience for users who can communicate their request using multiple input methods such as an onscreen keyboard or a microphone.
Teneo Toolkit opens up the power of Artificial Solutions technology including Teneo Mobile to developers providing them with the ability to quickly implement their own mobile virtual assistant and other apps, games and services using natural language thanks to Artificial Solutions’ unique technology and platform independence.
Artificial Solutions can be found at MWC on the Swedish Pavilion, Hall 2, Stand F13 and at Apps Planet, Hall 7, Stand 7F86.
