When a surveillance camera is equipped with intelligent algorithms, it can easily measure a 2D picture with a caught suspect. It uses a combination of the captured data and a 3D laser scan. It is also possible to make this data interactive, for various 3D forensic training programs like 3D witness verification, terrorist attacks and crime scene management. Eventually, it is possible to visualize these scenes into 2D, 3D, or even 4D! Of course the fourth dimension constitutes time.
