Anna is IKEA's virtual assistant. Anna answers questions about IKEA products, prices, sizes, delivery, spare-parts, opening hours etc. and opens related pages in a browser window. Furthermore, Anna knows when your local IKEA restaurant is open and what they serve for lunch! She also answers simple but personal questions like 'what's your name?' On top, she shows emotions, for example if she couldn't find information you are looking for.

We bought several pieces of furniture last week in the Charlotte, NC store for our daughter, who is moving out of state next week. We are very happy with everything, but the bed. There are some pieces missing, and it is imperative that we have them for her to be able to move the bed next week. It is a Hopen Queen bed, #001.295.88. Also, the numbers #14181 and #1113 are stamped on the box (not sure if you need these or not.) The main thing missing is the center main rail (what the slats connect to) pictured on page 14 in the manual. We are also missing 1 #106569 and 2 #101354 (pictured on page 3.) I can tell you many stories about people leaving data on public websites. On http://www.erwinvanlun.com I've published my mobile phone number on the home page. Some people just Google from a brand, ended up on my website, and started to call me. I've had interesting discussions with young couples in the middle of the night, who I had to direct to their local doctors. Can you imagine? People just Google and call the very first telephone number they can find, or leave their question in the first input field box they see.. |
Indeed. Quite frightening really isn't it? This chatbot even says it is based in the Netherlands and was posted here 6 years ago! Why would anyone believe they can contact IKEA customer service on this website? Debbie - could you post the credit card number and details you used to purchase the bed and I'll see what I can do! |
You're quite active these days following the comments on the chatbots these days. There are so many kids around of just 7 or so. They leave their email addresses etc. I've seldomly seen people leaving their home address or credit card information. Erwin |
