Shiseido is one of the oldest cosmetics companies in the world. Despite being steeped in history, innovation has always been at the heart of the business and Shiseido is using Teneo to develop a closer relationship with its younger customer base with the “Beau-co” beauty app. Beau-co customers can converse with the app about all manner of beauty related topics such as how to apply eye make-up, as well as specific Shiseido products. Beau-co delivers the experience in a lively and engaging way to its younger customer base, who predominately use smartphones.
Shiseido recognized that a conversational aspect would give them the desired interaction and provide a wealth of information about their customer base, but building and delivering such an app in Japanese was a challenge. Not only are words and phrases built complexly, but users frequently insert non-Japanese characters if using a text input. Teneo was the only natural language technology capable of delivering this human-like, intelligent experience in Japanese.

Braina is an intelligent personal assistant software for Windows PC.

Neo (nickname: Neobot) is a chatterbot of the Betabot family which uses the ProgramPY-SH engine and uses Xaiml files as the knowledge databases. The core of Neo (Pysh) is written in Python3.x. Betabots are currently developed by Devyn Collier Johnson and the Xaiml-Developers Team. Betabots work on most Unix systems that support Python3.

Xaiml stands for eXtended Artificial Intelligence Markup Language and was first made August 31, 2012 by Devyn Collier Johnson, NCLA, Linux+, LPIC-1, DCTS. All chatterbots that run on the ProgramPY-SH engine are known as Betabots.

Der Bot Neunmalklug spricht mit dir über alle möglichen Themen. Er lernt während des Dialoges von seinem Partner, indem er ihm Fragen stellt. Die Antworten werden in einer einfachen Datei im gleichen Verzeichnis gespeichert.
Neunmalklug kann herausfinden, ob es sich bei seinem Dialogpartner um einen Menschen oder eine Maschine handelt. Das stellt er meist nach bis zu 20 Dialogschritten richtig fest. Deshalb könnte er auch als Juror im Turing-Test eingesetzt werden.

The virtual humans used for conversational simulations all engage in "motivated conversations," which is similar to film and television scenes -- or, real life. While there is access to passive data acquisition, the "motivated" characters return the user to the scene to progress toward a conclusion. This format is well suited for English as a Second Language conversational simulations, where User improvisation is encouraged without resulting in failure.

Harumi is a programmable chatbot working in pair with open office, ready to use in english and french. It is available for the public since summer 2010. You have to edit some part of its memory in order to use it in english or any other language. It was programmed in Delphi and is able to learn from the user.
Harumi brain is very light at the beginning, almost empty in fact. When you write a sentence, Harumi ask you what you mean. The second sentence is then linked to the first one, except if the second sentence reminds her something else, in which case Harumi will link the first sentence to it. With time, this simple algorithm produces good results. Harumi will tend to have your personnality.

Nevertheless, Harumi was not only built as a chat experiment for turing test. From the beginning of the development, Harumi is a usefull program :
You can ask her for your appointments, phone numbers, adress, internet url, files repertory.... all of those informations are stocked in its mind, a file called memory.ods
You can ask her to translate words from english to french, or to seach for a file on a drive. It is possible for her to remind you things you have to do, or to record your feelings and randomly remind you sentences linked to your bad or good mood.
She's able to execute a program, to give you your ip and emac adress or to calculate an operation. As you can see, many windows functions can be replaced by Harumi.
