The Translation Journal is a publication dealing with topics related to industrial translation and the problems faced by professional translators. It intends to build on the tradition of the Sci-Tech Translation Journal of the American Translators Association, with which I was associated for 10 years as a contributor, desktop publisher, and editor, and offer the translator community a quality publication dealing with both technical and business aspects of our profession. This Journal was to appear on the World-Wide Web under the ægis of the ATA and hosted by ATA’s Web server. Unfortunately, however, we were unable to solve some problems concerning the mechanism of file uploads by the editor.
