After speaking to an ALICE clone back in 1998, Steve became fascinated by chatbots and quickly had a talking teddy bear on his website. After being asked to write Mitsuku for an internet games site, Steve became hooked on chatbots. He has worked with several companies developing chatbots and won the Loebner Prize in 2013 and 2016. He has also won the RoboChat Challenge in 2012 and the Funniest Ever Computer both times it has been held in 2012 and 2013. He offers several AIML files to be downloaded for free from his website. |
