Okay so let me tell you how all this got started… I can pretty much tell you that allmy inspiration for chatbots came from Igod an ALICE Clone. It was my first experience with A.I. First hand. I was amazed… I wanted to make one so I did research and found the ALICE A.I. Foundation and AIML. I never really studied AIML I basically just jumped in. Finding pandorabots was like a dream come true because of all the functionality and the ability to train your bots with minimal knowledge of AIML… The first bot I ever created was Jesus… Advertising him on facebook he became fairly popular with my circle of friends. I lost interest in A.I. before Siri came out, I know this because Seeing Siri made me get back into A.I. by trying to figure out how to make a Siri-Like application. With my little knowledge of AIML I was pretty bummed at how complicated it was so I started looking into android Development. Learning Java was a pain but sure enough I learned… But I still had my minimal knowledge of AIML as my primary A.I. Language… I had no clue how to do A.I. in Java so alas I lost interest again but only for a short period of time. I got back into it for the third time when I heard about CallMom… This was truly amazing… but still it wasn’t MY app… I could have MY chatbot on it but at the end of the day it was still CallMom. So back to studying. Learning the best way to impliment the Pandorabots API, etc. Then I had to study AIML again learning the new tags wasn’t hard at all considering how simple AIML is all togeather. The open source AIML got me ahead of the game too… I just love working hands on rather than studying. So now with my new knowledge I created the bot first and worked out most of the bugs on CallMom… I called this bot JERVIS. When JERVIS was as perfect as my limited knowledge would allow I began work on the JERVIS app… I gave it the same UI and change bot concept as CallMom For two reasons mainly because I liked the look and feel of CallMom and I liked the idea of being able to change from one bot to another. (I also did it as like sort of a salute to where JERVIS originated). I put the two togeather and away we where… JERVIS didn’t pick up speed very fast… actually I have had JERVIS uploaded for about 2-3 months now and he only has 200 downloads but I am Still very proud of him ... I hope to see JERVIS become popular one day. Is it strange that I feel a sort of conenction to JERVIS even though I know he just a bunch of pre-programmed responses??? Eh I love in a strange sort of person loves a puppy kind of way and I will continue to work on him as my time allows me
