Greetings

Hi,
I found this forum this evening…after hopping from the http://www.loebner.net to the Robitron discussion list at yahoo groups.  I hope this forum format works because I personally prefer it to the discussion list format.

I would like to say hi and I’m looking forward to meeting each of you and reading your perspectives and thoughts on chat bots and AI.

I’ve been actively engaged in game programming for 3 years. The online game programming competitions have served to motivate, encourage, and to develop my personal interest and programming skills.  I hope this forum and the Loebner prize competition will have a similar effect.

My games are located at http://www.chuckbolin.com/games.php.

I’m very interested in developing a ‘chat’ engine in 2010 and 2011. Who knows, if all goes well I might be able to submit an entry for consideration for the Loebner prize in 2011. =)

Happy New Year to all!

Regards,
Chuck

Hi David,
Thank you for the link.  Over the past several years I’ve created two game projects using AI.

The first was a ‘connect 4’ game. We had 2 weeks to build the logic before we submitted our code to the judge. We had a specified protocol for communicating. That was very interesting and a lot of fun.

The second was a program I created as a ‘proof of concept’. It has the ability to be taught games similar to “tic tac toe”. After training it to play it would seen begin tying the human. It was a very fascinating concept. I began laying in the framework for it to learn board games like checkers but did not finish.

8PLA,
That sight you linked at 8pla.net is very interesting. Is this your creation?

Regards,
Chuck
