Haha! You see now why my career as a professional gambler never paid off! Well done to all the finalists. I’ll have a final pick at Skynet for the win now.

Another poor guess, three strikes and, well- yer out!

Laybia AI squeeks by Skynet AI and takes third place in CBC 2014 for $1000!

Good luck to anyone who enters but I genuinely doubt the $5,000 first prize will be awarded if it’s anything like his ICC contest.

My apologies Wendell. The CBC was a good, well run contest.
Congratulations to all the entrants and finalists.

Coming from a former Loebner Prize Judge, to emphasize all due respect and understanding to the contest officials is intended…  Making administrative decision is a tough job for contest officials.  That is completely respected in these comments.

It is normal that players may sometimes challenge, when they don’t win.  When it happens in sports, players are sometimes thrown out of the game.  But it is almost always a temporary suspension, because the fans want to see the players back on the field.

Having been suspended for this chatbot contest season was a big penalty.  The other players lost the chance to challenge their chatbots against the Loebner Prize champion. Hopefully we will see Mitsuku in the Chatterbox Challenge next year.

Okay please tell me you are all not still fighting over the chatterbox challenge. That fight was going on from the first contest wendell ran.  I had entered by chatbot fairyprincess several times but eventually got disgusted over all the infighting and removed myself from the AI community. My chatbot did not win either lots of the personality forge bots had entered and did not win. Big deal. It seems as though there are always going to be sore losers who cry foul when they do not win.

Wendell is a good guy. It is hard enough to run a contest without infighting over it. There was even a short time back then (several years ago) that I was going to sponsor a contest at my website Chatbotfriend but i could not secure funding for it and no one at the time liked the idea of a entrance fee which is actually standard for some other types of contests.

There have been a lot of contests for Chatbots that have gone by the wayside for various reasons. I for don’t want to see another go because of infighting.

I would say that as nobody has posted to the thread in nearly 2 years, it’s probably safe to assume everyone has found peace.
