However, the visual portion shows a computer screen displaying the name “Cleverbot,” followed by another screen shot of “NeoSpeech”.

A chatbot wins the world prize for communicating like a human every year…
Looks like they just hooked up their robot to Cleverbot with commercially available speech recognition and text-to-speech software. Always good for a lark, is the best I can say about that.
The robotics are very impressive, of course.

In that version, “chatbots” are mentioned at 29:27.

The reply to “What kind of music do you like?” while attempting to appear human-like, makes chatbots seem foolish.

Imagine how it makes the entire field of AI look to be represented by Cleverbot.

What I find remarkable: Here we have a robot, that is in all regards very clearly a machine, and the one thing they ask it, is its taste in music. Like it spends time listening to music. Or could have an opinion. Or like its opinion on music would be any kind of relevant. Remarkable

Interesting video. I agree that the taste in music did make it sound rather dumb.
