My Romney vs Obama Debate Bots - Suitable for anyone, political wonk or not, as this has a ‘brightness’ control that actually works for either political party. Now you can dial up or down the stupidity, and inject your own questions at any time.
I made this for fun and to test multiple Sitepal avatars working together on a single page. It uses JQuery and JQueryUI with Ajax to query the bot. It uses iframe-to-iframe communications. The src is open. Obama is the controller for Mitt and the main page.
It chats to a Perl front-end to a series of chat bots : a bit of Chatscript (thank you Bruce and Dave!), a database with a few thousand sentences from their speeches, an AIML bot, and Wolfram-Alpha.
