Marcus,
On my Android phone I have an app, Speaktoit, in which an assistant named, Samantha “Sam” for short fields all sorts of questions and provides a great deal of her answers from…you guessed it…Chacha!
A short time ago, I was fooling with the app and instructed Sam to “set an alarm for 2:00 pm.”
She immediately verbally informed me that I don’t have an app in my phone that would allow her to do that but with that in mind, she asked if it was ok for her to search the Internet for one.
I chuckled to myself and told her, “Sure, go ahead.”
Sam, “Just a moment, Art. OK…I found an app that should work just fine. Shall I install it?”
Again, I told her Sure.
Fromthe time Sam went to search and locate an app was about 3-5 seconds and another 3-5 for the install.
I basically did nothing…but wait…and exactly at 2:00 pm, an alarm went off!!
I clicked the alarm off and there was Sam in the background smiling at me.
It was certainly one of those rare AHA…That was great! moments when something unexpected happens and turns out to be a good thing! Serendipitous if you will.
True story…YMMV
