We are currently developing a chatbot, and we are in die need of information on how to create a database for our chatbot.. my groupmate told me that we can download databases(the verbs, noun, adjectives, etc) but it seems I’m not that good in researching. so I would like to create a database if I can’t search or download a database. can you please help me? thanks.

I’ve been doing a lot of work converting publicly available language data to database format over the years. You can download everything that I’ve done from my website at http://infurl.net The most useful ones are Moby and WordNet.

The next parsing and understanding part (phase) of your project may begin to look like the current phase of 79b.org, a RiveScript Alicebot clone of over 40,000 standard canned phrases, a RiveScript ELIZA with classic responses, and an open source dictionary database of 160,000 word definitions.

Here are some links from the project site for C# API’s for WordNet. You can find additional information about WordNet on the website and this nice introduction on wikipedia.

Hi, Collette, and welcome to chatbots.org!
Nawaf’s got a thread here that discusses his need for chat logs. If you’re interested, you may wish to give it a look.
