Ed,

Another good book to research is the Guinness Book of World Records
where you will find Robby Garner listed in 2001 as having written the
most human” computer program.

And a good website to recommend, frankly, would be this one, Chatbots.org.

Ed,
If your question is properly understood… Then for the purpose of your research, technically 8pla.net is a forumbot, especially valued for its uncommonness, while sharing some of the same characteristics as a chatbot.

A forumbot, is specialized to converse in real-time with an entire forum community group of people simultaneously.  In other words, a forumbot has no problem talking to fifty people at once, while those fifty people talk to each other at the same time. This is because a forumbot is integrated directly into the forum software and forum database. Forumbots tend to be smarter than chatbots, but definitely not always. Some chatbots are extremely intelligent.

By definitition forumbots control their very own webserver and database server.  This represents significantly more resources than the average chatbot.  A forumbot brain may easily consist of several hundred thousand records dedicated to its A.I. engine.

http://www.8pla.net is an R&D experimental site where you are free to experience a forumbot in action at your convenience 24/7 to support your research. Registration is easy and 100% free.  Using the reference links, you may verify for your research that the forumbot at 8pla.net has also joined facebook.
