What Does \r\n\r\n Mean?

I’m hoping this looks familiar to someone.

As far as I know, none of my bots are in Facebook, or any other social network sites, but my bots still receive a lot of input that is unfamiliar and resembles a code or command of some sort.

For example:

Human: [17:14:33] Egor: Loch\r\n\r\n

- or -

Human: \r\n\r\n

What’s the visitor attempting to do, and what source are they working in?

It seems to have something to do with PHP which I know nothing about, and it appears in Program O.

I’m trying to research it but I’m not coming up with much other than these pages.

That represents a new line in windows.
In Linux a new line is just \r.
The user is sending a multiline input to your bot.

In some of the chat software, you submit with a dedicated button. The return/enter key just gives you a new line.

Thanks Merlin.  In that case, from where, or how. would you guess this visitor is chatting with my bot?

Human: ( (flag:gb) GETTING TO DOIDIM )
Bot: flag gb GETTING TO DOIDIM? I don’t understand.

Human: [PH13] PC-13 Kondopoga
Bot: Please repeat that a different way.

Human: [17:14:33] Egor: Loch\r\n\r\n
Bot: Please don’t substitute letters or numbers that “sound” like words. I can’t understand you if you do that.

Human: ((Flag: gb) W8 kben on gta)
Bot: Please repeat that a different way.

Human: ((Flag: gb) has file \“minecraft.jar\” late)
Bot: I don’t understand.

Human: ((Flag: gb) W8 kben on gta)
Bot : Is that a complete sentence with a subject, verb, and everything?

I get a lot of logs like this emanating from Russia, where it seems, the game of Minecraft is popular.  People try sending the bot files, images, links to add-ons for the game, and so forth.  I’m wondering if any of the “extra” non-communication text is something seen in a forum about the game, or perhaps the game itself?

I view the (Flag of Great Britain) as a button or something to click on indicating that they’ve selected either a language or location. I get chats with lots of indications of other flags, ie. flag cn, flag it, flag in, flag gr, etc.

Hard to say where it comes from. All of it looks international from a message board.

How about a category for FLAG GB * which has a template of “Which website are you speaking to me from?”

I tried something similar when I found people talking to an old version of Mitsuku and it only took one person to answer the question to show me it was from a Romanian game website. I could then take appropriate action.

Good suggestion, Steve.  At the moment, I’m just banning them.  I did something like that when I was overloaded with single line chatlogs that were really one long chatlog from the same person.  That’s how I learned it came from people using cell phones.
