I just want to say, “Thank you!” to all those who took
the time to test this new Eliza conversation simulator.
It is very helpful, because by going through the logs…

Visitor:  You didn’t say anything.
Eliza:  You were saying, “me didn’t say anything.”?

Corrections like, “me didn’t say anything.” are found
through the precious assistance given by the visitors.

Visitor:  You mean ‘I didn’t say anything’.
Eliza:  How do you feel when you say that?

To answer Eliza’s question, I think the visitors feel
appreciated when they help with Eliza’s training.

My New Years resolution is to (politely) dispel the myth that ELIZA is dumb.

Did you know that Joseph Weizenbaum invented the computer language in which he wrote ELIZA?  Did you know that ELIZA was an IBM 7000 series mainframe computer, like an IBM WATSON of the 1960s?  Did you know that ELIZA was an MIT research program sponsored by the Department of Defense?
