The problem with me is I am too much interested in 3D Game Development. Literally Obsession .
If I dont code some graphics thing for three to four days, I feel like fish out of water!
Its strange addiction.

So, Even till now I havent started developing chatbot, (Though made nice looking 3d desert )... and I know I have to make Chabot,

I know I cant develop a chatbot in 7 months and now even less time, but I am highly ambitious person.
I still believe I will eventually pull up something good!
If I get time I will definitely study already built chatbots and engine.
But, I cant follow those because I know they must lack some core thing, thats why they arent yet able to produce something exceptional.

I know there is 80-90% percent probability that I wont be able to make something close to ALICE. but who knows .
With great struggle in same direction we can make even greater things but cant make revolutionary things.

I believe by thinking Out Of The Box we can make revolutionary products.

There are 99.9% chance that I am going to fail, but what if I win? and for me whats at stake?, College grades (Thats not a big deal), But the time is at stake (The time I can put in game dev:-) )

Your second post made little sense for me. I cant even comment on that.

You people must be wondering, even if you dont say it bluntly that I am myself not interested in making a chatbot.

You people dont need to take me that much serious, and I am not going to waste your time by asking about techniques, explanations, help etc. I dont usually ask questions but I do help others whosoever I can by any means, but obviously I cant help you people in AI, at least for now.

And an update!

We had a local chatbot competition and I won it. Worth 500$

I had nothing on my part when I registered for it!

As I am working with MS SQL, ASP.NET, I tried to make a clone of ALICE.
To my surprise it was quite easy. I had ten days to do this.
Wrote some scripts to fill up my own databases, using ALICE
Scripts for every thing, customization etc.

I was able to make subset of ALICE in 10 days. It is working quite well and I have a nice backup for Final Year Project. If I cant do anything else, I know spending 20 more days on same project will make it function like ALICE. Back to Game Dev

I just know few basic programming concepts and languages. And as far as this AI thing is concern I just have my own vision bout it like we all have. But I have no serious enough intention other than why you play foolball in evening with your friends. Time pass I mean . And that’s the reason I don’t try learning programming seriously at the first place. I just know Intel Assembly, C, C++ little bit enough for my little occasional purposes. So U C in actual even if you are a student you must be far more learned person than me….haha. At least as far as computer programming is concern, right? But sure know where I stand there or in life itself in general no matter what way of convention I use to express myself. As you done in above those lines haha understand I know you too must be no matter what you say. I thing, you just can’t sell me garbage…haha, not if I myself don’t like mind it for any reasons like you must have your own to use those words.

One thing I never said that you can’t do it within 7 months. I dunno what gave you this funny idea. I just tossed my own basic idea about this thing to you, so maybe you find it interesting to explore things that way. Cause its little bit unconventional approach. And its what you talking about yourself, from ground up. But still a Kichdi (mixed) approach that much I admit. All I say, If you don’t find is worthy enough or not to your way of things then no need to think about it any further than what you already have. Okay? simple enough ...smile.

I have to agree with Steve on this. There are probably more bots implemented in AIML than any other bot framework. AIML has inspired some of us to create our own frameworks, but AIML is still capable of producing some excellent bots. “Mitsuku” and “The Professor” are good examples.

There is an old term in IT called GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out). It is customary for people to reply with a hello or hi there when someone says “hello” to them. If I saw you in the street and said hello to you and you replied, “Why you said to Ram that I hate him?”, I would class you as a fool. Why did you assume that my bot had told someone called Ram that you hated him? To me the intelligence was lacking in the question rather than the answer.

Also, bear in mind that Mitsuku is an English speaking bot and “Why you said to Ram that I hate him” is not standard English. It responded the best it could with the nonsense that was asked of it.

As for the Loebner Prize, this is probably the most well respected contest in chatbot circles. The judges next year include one of the guys who worked on IBM’s Watson and a very well respected British TV personality who is a professor.

Do you have any work of your own that you think is better than ours here or are you just one of those people who like to complain for the sake of it.
