Well I think google would debate your definition of it’s engine but they do consider it at the very least a “deep learning engine” And that is a quote from the company. But that is not really my point. i have been working with chatbots since 2002 and tossing facts at a chatbot won’t make them sound more intelligent. There needs to be a way to instill common sense to them. Just dropping lines in a chatbot tends to make it sound fake and/or robotic. As any chatbot master knows fixing them is a never ending job. We need a new way of doing it. Perhaps a combination of different approaches is in order.
