There appears to be a new wave of Twitter bot enthusiasts rearing its head, rallying around the academic Leonardo Flores (@Leonardo_UPRM) and his “E-Poetry” project (iloveepoetry.com), which delves into the Twitterverse.  They’ve set up a command center at botforum.net, and have an outreach channel at Bots! - Community - Google+.

Seems, Social Media APIs forcing bots to identify themselves as apps,
has zapped most of the fun out of it.
