First, I want to congratulate Merlin and Skynet-AI, the winners of the 2013 CBC, of course!
Louise Cypher, who was excellent too of course, wasn’t as lucky.
Then, I think I owe an apology to Ron C. Lee, the developer of English Tutor, which I happily do. I didn’t intend any injure, it was just a personal impression from talking to Mike (which I enjoy, btw).
After checking the quarter finals again, I found that Denise, Louise Cypher, and Izar tend to give very similar or even identical answers, and in a way that reminds me strongly of ALICE 1.0, which I’ve talked to a lot during the past years. So my above remark might apply to them.
Time to get back to topic, I think.
Wendell, thanks for all the labor that is necessary to run such a contest! (I helped a couple of times at real life contests, so I know it is alway at least 30 times as much as one would think from outside.)
And thanks for posting the results so soon every time!
