The platform rename it as “BotPlatform”, (famous as iBot Platform before, formerly named agents.im & robots.im). Besides the original features, the new platform also has the followings:

  * 4. SDK code open source
  * 5. More robot management settings
  * 6. Platform is extending, supports COM

The old platform will be officially closed a month later, original SPID (service provider ID) and password still could use to login new website at http://botplatform.com, download the new SDK and develop your own robot. 

With BotPlatform, you can build your own instant messaging robot, such as Chat Bot etc. For business function, you can use it to build a customer service Bot or marketing Bot for enterprise, greatly reducing the customer service cost, improving service level and your product brand.

SDK uses I/O Completion Ports for COM network communication, thread pool for COM / JAVA thread mechanism, so developers only need to focus on implement of service logic.

what was the reason to rename the platform?

Which ‘channels’ are now supported (I assume Fetion as well)?  It would be cool to have statistics on which IM channels are used, per country, nowdays.

Because our platform is upgrading totally, and we want the name clear for users.  When users saw the name, they will know what the product is. 

Currently our platform supports Windows Live Messenger (MSN) , Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and web, and in the near future we try to support more IM tools, and Fetion is a IM tool of China Mobile.
