Now that the majority of bugs have been fixed in version 2 of Program O, we’ve begun work on the next incarnation of the script. Version 3 will be a huge departure from previous versions; so much so, in fact, that practically every aspect of the script will change, including the structure of the database, the way it parses the output, and the way that the core code will operate. I’ve written a blog about the changes to the script, and the reasons why these changes will be made, and you can read about it here. This is an immense undertaking, and it won’t be available any time soon, but I’ll try to post regular progress reports as the process advances. Once we get to the point where the script is ready for Beta testing, I’ll start recruiting a small handful of folks who are willing to help test the code. If anyone is willing to help with writing core code, please don’t hesitate to PM me so that we can discuss things.
