Steve Grand, creator of Creatures/Norms, is aiming to work on a new ALife project if he can raise enough money. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1508284443/grandroids-real-artificial-life-on-your-pc

cool! Cool way to raise money too.

Is Suzette no longer online? Do you expect she’ll be back (else we’ll enter an expiry date in her records, still a lot of site traffic looking for Suzette)

Not saying she is no longer online. Only that, whereas steve’s word is clearly cool and is ALIFE, Suzette may be cool but she cannot be considered in that class.

He managed to raise more than enough money.  Seems like a good way to get a project started.  You would need mass appeal though really and I think it is limited to the US, although you can donate from any country.
