There is no library in centOS to connect to postgresql.

In yum in centOS, there is no ‘libpq-dev’.

How does centOS connect postgrespg?

i created ‘make server, make pg server’.

I believe it’s called ‘postgresql-libs’ on redhat and it’s derivatives ( centos is one of those )

‘yum install postgresql-devel’

you probably also have to add it to your path for pg_config
