Issuing bot output automatically after pre-defined amount of time

I’m curious to know if it is possible to have my bot issue output automatically if the time between it’s last output and the user submitting their next input reaches a certain amount of time.

Haven’t seen anything in the documentation so I thought I’d ask here!

CS and the web interfaces supplied support out-of-bound messages CALLBACK, LOOPBACK, and ALARM,
which can reacquire control by asking the external interface to call CS again under conditions given.

Thanks, Bruce, for the quick response.

Playing around a little with the OOB messages here in my bot and getting to see it in action, locally here on my computer.

I’ll keep experimenting with it - for now I have the control topic set up to gambit the current topic whenever an alarm is triggered by a rule. Exactly what I needed for the moment.
