Missing userprompt and botprompt

When I run “./LinuxChatScript64 local” on ubuntu with a fresh copy of ChatScript and and enter my user name, I dont get any bot or user prompts. Using the latest (5.9) I just get the following:

Glad you came back.
  >hello

Any ideas?
