Thank you Mr. Wilcox for sharing ChatSript with the public. I am just beginning to write my own chatbot. Thank you chatbots.org for hosting this forum. I have been trying to read everything and I am trying to understand many parts of artificial intelligence.
Do you think genetic algorithms could be used to optimize an existing chatbot? Do you think genetic genetic algorithms could evolve a chatbot from a population of chatbots build from random chatscript rules?
It seems like chatbots would have a very clear fitness function. Using a list of many questions as input we could compare all the answers (the output) from each chatbot to the correct answers from a human and see which chatbot is more correct.
I am thinking of going to graduate school. Would you recommend this idea as a major project or thesis? Am I over-simplifying or misunderstanding chatscript, genetic algorithms, or both?
