When posting a reply to an existing topic, it would be convenient for the browser to be returned to the the new reply (near the bottom of the page), rather than the top of the page as at present. Then you could see your new post immediately, rather than having to scroll down.
On another forum I visit, this is implemented using a named HTML anchor tag and a # in the URL.
